If you read all of the usual soccer tabloids, one of the most coveted players is the "proficient striker," i.e., the goleador, the pichichi, or the Messiah -- especially around World Cup time.  A proficient striker is a player that finishes off all of the easy chances; makes a high percentage of the 50/50 chances; and, then scores the magnificent goal or makes a tremendous run consistently.  Let’s talk about what makes players into proficient strikers.
